The Hobart Handler 190 is a heavy-duty wire-feed welder designed for professional-quality MIG, flux-cored, and aluminum welding applications. Operating on 230V input power, it can weld mild steel up to 5/16″ thick and includes the SpoolRunner™ 100 spool gun for convenient aluminum welding.

With seven voltage selections, infinite wire-feed-speed control, an industrial cast-aluminum drive system, and integrated spool-gun circuitry, the Handler 190 provides a versatile welding platform for fabrication, automotive repair, maintenance, farm, ranch, and workshop applications.

SpoolRunner 100 Aluminum Welding

The included SpoolRunner 100 makes the Handler 190 ready for compatible aluminum welding applications. Positioning the wire spool closer to the welding gun improves feeding of softer aluminum wire and helps reduce feeding problems such as bird-nesting.

Because spool-gun control circuitry is already integrated into the machine, setup is straightforward without the need to purchase a separate control box or interface.

• Quick-Select™ Drive Roll: Three grooves support .024″ solid wire, .030″/.035″ solid wire, and .030″/.035″ flux-cored wire configurations.
• Door-Mounted Setup Chart: Provides recommended starting settings based on wire, shielding gas, material type, and thickness.
• Convenient Polarity Changeover: Simplifies switching polarity when changing between compatible solid and flux-cored wires.
• Built-In Contactor: Keeps the welding wire electrically cold until the gun trigger is pulled.
• Spool Hub: Accommodates compatible 4″ and 8″ wire spools.

Built-In Protection
